Iford Bridge Park is in a quiet residential area of Iford and although it is part of Bournemouth it is closer to Christchurch just across the River Stour. A small stone bridge gives the park its name. With 80 park homes, it is the largest of our parks.

Although part of Bournemouth, Iford is on the banks fo the River Stour facing Christchurch on the opposite side with its famous harbour and visitor attractions as well as a good range of shops, restaurants and places of interest. Iford is a quiet neighbourhood and has some independent shops and amenities in including restaurants, a pub, takeways and a convenience store.


Christchurch is a popular tourist destination with its harbour, beaches, nature reserves and historically important buildings. It has a wider selection of shops and amenities including excellent resturants and several supermarkets. It also has a railway station on the London Waterloo to Weymouth line.


Bournemouth offers a combination of large chain stores to individual boutique shopping areas and individually owned businesses. The main town centre shopping areas are The Triangle, Commercial Road, The Square and Old Christchurch Road with the majority of the town centre pedestrianised. Bournemouth rail station is on the London Waterloo to Weymouth line.

  • Christchurch Priory is one of the longest parish churches in England and is larger than 21 English Anglican Cathedrals. 1.5 miles
  • Christchurch Quay is a popular attraction with two main areas: The Quomps and Town Quay. A pleasant riverside promenade runs the length of the site. 1.5 miles

  • Bournemouth Aviation Museum features many interactive exhibits and a collection of aircraft. 2 miles
  • Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum. Good collection of Victorian and pre raphaelite paintings housed in a quirky building. 5 miles
  • The Oceanarium features a range of sealife from sharks, sea turtles clownfish and piranhas to lionfish and octopus. 5 miles
  • Boscombe Chine Gardens were developed originally from a 'chine' into a splendid Victorian garden. 4.3 miles
  • West Cliff Funicular Railway links the seaside promenade and beach with the cliff top and the town behind. 5 miles.
